Mother and Son Seriously Injured In Miami Crash, authorities say. Leesfield & Partners’ Long History of Representing Injured Crash Victims.

A mother, 20, and her 5-year-old son were seriously injured in a crash over the weekend in Allapattah, a neighborhood in the City of Miami, officials told The Miami Herald.

Emergency responders were called around 8:20 a.m. to the area of 1793 NW 20th St. on Friday where the mother’s car had been hit by another driver. Officials said that the mother allegedly crossed mid-block and not at the intersection, according to reporting from local news outlets. One car stopped but anther, who police told reporters did not see her vehicle, did not.

Both were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center with serious injuries but are said to have been in stable condition.

YouTuber with Millions of Subscribers Gets Backlash for Texting While Driving Before Violent Miami Crash.

Jack Doherty, a YouTuber with over 14 million subscribers, is under fire for allegedly texting while driving before violently crashing his McLaren 570S over the weekend in Miami.

The crash, live-streamed in a since-deleted video on Kick, shows the 20-year-old looking down at his phone while rain poured down on the Florida Turnpike.

The video was later re-posted to other social media platforms showing the car begin to skid while he desperately attempts to regain control before going blank. The next clip shows his totaled car and at least one other person, a passenger in the car at the time, with a bleeding head wound. Thankfully, no other cars seemed to have been involved in the crash and Doherty did not appear to be injured.

One dead following morning Broward County crash on Oct. 2, officials say

A woman died after her car careened into a Broward County canal following a crash, police said.

Police were called out to the crash around 6 a.m. Wednesday in Cooper City after they received 911 calls about a car in the canal. The driver allegedly crashed into a bridge barrier and plunged into a nearby canal.

There were at least two people in the car at the time of the crash, including the woman who was driving and a man who was able to make it out of the car, according to reporting from The Miami Herald.

E-biker accused of leaving scene after crash that injured man on Central Florida beach, police say.

An E-bike rider was charged with a felony after an alleged hit-and-run crash with a man on a Central Florida beach, local police announced Wednesday.

The 37-year-old was charged Monday with felony leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and operating an electric bicycle in a manner likely to cause harm after the Memorial Day crash on Ormond Beach, about an hour outside of Orlando in Volusia County, Florida.

The incident took place around 5 p.m. on May 27 and, according to police, the man injured in the event had been playing soccer near where the E-bike rider was speeding. The area where he was riding is set aside for pedestrians. Following the crash, the man who was playing soccer was rushed to the hospital where it was determined he had three broken ribs. The E-biker had left before the police arrived.

Pedestrian hit, killed while walking with children by two cars in Ohio, officials say. As more cars are on the road, it’s important to stay vigilant.

An Ohio grandmother was struck July 8 by a car backing out of a driveway, then a passing SUV, resulting in the woman’s death.

The woman, 72, was walking down the sidewalk with two children, a toddler and a 7-year-old, around 11:30 a.m. when a car backed out of the driveway. A passing SUV also hit the grandmother. She sustained fatal injuries while the toddler had minor injuries, according to reporting from local news outlets. The 7-year-old was not injured.

The grandmother is being hailed a hero online by family members who said in a post honoring her that the children, who are her great-grandchildren, were “still here because of her.”
